These mouth-watering baked apples are a real simple treat for dessert. Different apples have different textures and flavours. They also take different times to bake, so check while baking to make sure they are tender.

Since I discovered this recipe, I have been making it regularly. It is very simple but elegant and tasty.
This recipe says nothing about covering the pan but I found after 30 minutes uncovered the apples were no where near soft. I covered them with foil and it was still another 30 minutes before they were cooked. I may just microwave them next time.
