In honour of today’s victory at the Soccer World Cup, why not try a classic Spanish dish?
A quick «paella»

This world famous Spanish dish derives its name from the Catalan word ‘paella’, which stands for an iron-based cooking pan with two handles.
Rice and saffron are the basic ingredients, to which you can add poultry, rabbit, chorizo sausage or even different types of seafood. In short, there are almost as many paella recipes as there are villages in Spain.
Although what I’m proposing here is not the original version, it is still very quick to make and it is an ideal last-minute dish, for it uses readily available ingredients such as smoked ham and shrimps.
