Keep it in the freezer and use it later to make a great home made stock.

8. Egg Shells

Very rich in minerals, particularly in calcium, the shells make excellent fertiliser. Let them dry and then crush them (with a rolling pin for example). With a garden fork, incorporate the powder into the soil at the foot of your plants (even indoor plants).

9. Coffee Grinds

Use a small coffee grounds container to eliminate odours from your cupboards and your refrigerator.

10. Compost

Wet and dry household waste (except meat scraps, fish and dairy products) can be transformed into compost, a stabilized product, hygienic and rich in humus, and very useful in the garden. You will find the procedure to be followed here.
